a.Intro(INTR)
-------
(taken from game instruction booklet)

Captain Jack Sparrow is caught up in another tangled web of supernatural
intrigue: It turns out Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones,
Ruler of the Ocean Depths, who captains the ghostly Flying Dutchman.

Unless the ever-crafty Jack figures a cunning way out of this Faustian pact,
he will be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation.

+++++++++++++++
b.Prison Island(PSIL)
+++++++++++++++
(Objective: Find the Key and escape to the Black Pearl.)

[Dialogue]
Mr.Gibbs: Jack, where ye be? The vultures are circling and the crew is growing
weary...

*Zoom into Jack's cell*

Jack: I am appalled at the lack of service in this prison. I demand a refund!

*Jack picks lock and the door opens*

Jack: Good to see the locksmith here is as bad as the interior decorator. But
my prize! Drawing, key, where are they keeping the bloody thing? I can't leave
till I've got that little item for myself.

[End Dialogue]

=================
I.Prison Interior(PSIN)
=================
You start off in Jack's cell. You can leave through the open door.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #1:
--------------
Once you leave Jack's cell, continue walking to the left. Pull
the switch and walk into the cell to find the first hidden gem
of the level.
################################################################

Walk straight up and a short cutscene will play with two guards running
into the room.

[Dialogue]
Guard: Get back in your cell, you dog!

Jack: Down boys. No use calling names. We're all friends here, savvy?

[End Dialogue]

The two guards are easy, so it shouldn't take long to kill them. After
you've killed them both, two more guards will come in, one of them is
slightly stronger than the other. After disposing of the two guards,
run to the next part of the map. Along the way you'll run into two more
guards. Kill them and once again continue through the map. Make quick
work of the last two guards and kick down the wall. Walk into the skull
icon and you'll be transported to the next map. In the next room you'll
have to fight two guards. After you kill them six more will respawn.
Kill the guards and a cutscene will reveal that a door has opened. Kill
the four guards in the next room and walk up the stairs. Defeat the six
guards in the next room and another door will open. Make your way to the
next set of stairs and you will encounter a new kind of enemy, the Mortician.
After you kill two of them continue up the stairs and into the skull icon.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #2:
--------------
In the next map there will be an open door. Go into the cell and
grab the gem. You should be able to see it from outside the cell.
################################################################
After killing all of the guards in the room, the doors will open and a few more
guards will come out. Use the cannon to kill them and run into the next room.
Two more morticians will come out and the doors will close. Defeat them both
and the doors will open again. Walk into the skull icon to go to the next map.
In the next map there is a small puzzle. Step on each of the three wooden steps
to open the doors. After clearing the room of guards, you will find the same
kind of puzzle. Repeatedly walk on the wooden steps to open the doors. Go
through the skull icon and pull the two switches near the door in the next
room. Run outside and cross the bridge and walk into the skull icon to complete
the stage.

==================
II.Prison Fortress(PSFT)
==================
Clear the first room and enter the next map.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #3:
--------------
The gem should be out in the open. Kill the guards and grab it.
################################################################

After all the guards are dead you can leave the room. A new door will open, go
through it after killing the morticians. Walk up the stairs and enter the skull
portal. Run through the map, killing the guards as you pass them. Once you get
to the end of the map, there will be a small mini-boss fight. Throw barrels at
him to finish him off quickly. Grab the key in the next room.

[Dialogue]
Jack: There you are, my pretty key. Funny that you're just here lounging on the
bed, but why complain?

*Two guards run into the room*

Guard: We're through playing games with the likes of you, pirate.

Jack: If I was to play a game with you, it'd be hide and go seek.Without the
seeking bit.

[End Dialogue]

As you defeat the guards in the room, more will come. Continue to fight them
until the stage ends.

=================
III.Prison Cliffs(PSCF)
=================
(You've unlocked the combo Clap of Thunder!)

Walk left until you reach another mini-boss. Fight the guards as they respawn
until the door opens. Clear the way to the end of the map.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #4:
--------------
Cross the bridge about halfway. Go down and you'll find the gem.
(You've unlocked the combo Deft Blade!)
################################################################

Continue along the bridge until you arrive at the next area. You will encounter
a lot of enemies in this section. You don't have to fight any of them, but I
recommend doing so anyways to get more gold for the unlock shop. In the next
map you will face another mini-boss, throws boxes at him. After you kill him
the invisible wall will disappear and you can run down the stairs to face yet a
nother mini-boss. This time pick up the glass bottles and throw them to stun
him, then attack. After killing him a bridge will lower. Cross the bridge and
go down the ramps to complete the stage.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Boss Battle: Warrior
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
[Dialogue]
Jack: Now, you're a man with good taste in weaponry. Fancy letting bygones be
bygones and moving along?

*Warrior slashes axe downwards*

Jack: That's what I was afraid of.

[End Dialogue]

==============
Boss Strategy:
==============
------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you start off, attack the warrior twice. Don't bother destroying the boxes
to get weapons as it isn't worth it. Instead, take a skull from one of the two
piles and throw it at him. Attack him three times and run away. Repeat this
process to easily kill him. How many hits actually hurt him varies, so the time
it takes to defeat him could be short or long.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Dialogue]
Mr.Gibbs: Not quite according to plan. Did you find what you were seeking?

Jack: Yes. But I haven't had time to properly assess the prize.

Mr.Gibbs: It's a key.

Jack: Even better. It's a drawing of a key. And whatever this unlocks...

Mr.Gibbs: Inside is something valuable. So we're setting out to find whatever
this unlocks.

Jack: If we don't have the key, we can't open whatever it unlocks, so what
purpose would be served in finding whatever needs to be unlocked without first
having found the key that unlocks it? Honestly. Ninny.

Mr.Gibbs: So we're going to find this key?

Jack: What good is a key if we have nothing for the key to unlock? Please, try
and keep up!

*Jack enters the captain's quarters and finds Bootstrap Bill*

Bootstrap Bill: Time's run out, Jack.

Jack: Bootstrap Bill Turner? Is this a dream?

Bootstrap Bill: No. Davy Jones sent me as an emissary.

Jack: I thought not. If it were a dream, there'd be rum.

Bootstrap Bill: I'm sure you haven't forgotten your agreement. 13 years as
captain of the Black Pearl, in exchange for a lifetime on his ship, the Flying
Dutchman. Time's up.

Jack: The Dutchman already has a captain, so there's no need for me.

Bootstrap Bill: Then it's the locker for you. Jones' leviathan will find you
and drag the Pearl back to the depths- and you along with it.

------------------
*In Port Royal*

Elizabeth: Father, do you think Will is all right? What could possibly be
keeping him from our wedding?

Governor Swann: I don't know, my dear. I'm certain there must be a good reason.

Elizabeth: I'll certainly give him a reason if he's not here soon.

*British soldiers bring Will over.*

Lord Beckett: Governor Swann. My apologies for arriving at this...happy event
without an invitation. That cannot be your fair daughter, little Elizabeth?
That must make this young man William Turner.

Elizabeth: Will! What's going on?

Governor Swann: By what authority are you arresting these two innocents?

Lord Beckett: By the Crown's- I am granted emergency powers to rid the sea of
piracy.

Elizabeth: What are we charged with?

Lord Beckett: The charge is conspiring to set free a man convicted of crimes
against the empire, and condemned to death. Perhaps you remember a pirate named
Jack Sparrow.

Will: CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow.

Lord Beckett: Captain Jack Sparrow. I thought you might.

++++++++++++
c.Port Royal(PTRL)
++++++++++++
(Objective: Find Lord Beckett and his letters of Marque.)

[Dialogue]
Lord Beckett: Those shackles will not be necessary. You may leave us. By the
crown's authority, I place you and your betrothed, Elizabeth Swann, under
arrest for conspiring with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Will: Elizabeth is innocent in this matter. I am the only person to blame.

Lord Beckett: How noble. My orders are very clear- but your fates are not yet
decided. Perhaps we can postpone your punishment...If you'd assist us in
retrieving something from Captain Jack.

Will: Very well. I'll bring you the Black Pearl for Elizabeth's freedom.

Lord Beckett: The Pearl is of no use to me. No, the item I seek is much
smaller: a compass. Bring the compass to me, and perhaps I'll be inclined to
reconsider dear Elizabeth's date with the gallows.

*Governor Swann walks to Elizabeth's cell*

Elizabeth: Father? What's happening?

Governor Swann: There are men who are still loyal to me here. A ship is waiting
-I have arranged passage to England.

*Guard unlocks door*

Governor Swann: I must go to avoid suspicion. A carriage is waiting outside.
There is no time to waste- quickly, my dear!

Elizabeth: I can't leave without Will. If Lord Beckett won't listen to reason,
then I must take his letters of pardon by force. Beckett's office is at the end
of the docks, but the streets must be crawling with men loyal to his cause.
I'll have to be careful.

Soldier: Beckett's prisoner has escaped! She won't get far on our watch- spread
out and retrieve her!

[End Dialogue]

(You've unlocked the combo Deadlights!)

====================
I.Port Royal Streets(PRST)
====================
The enemies in Port Royal don't usually block your attacks, so it is slightly
easier then Prison Island. Clear out the first map and the invisible will
disappear. Go through the skull icon into the next area and head across the
bridge.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #1:
--------------
You should be able to spot the first gem easily. It is inside of
the well in the middle of the map.
################################################################

Kill all of the soldiers, if you find it taking too long then throw barrels to
speed the process up. After a while, you will be able to go down the path and
you will meet the first mini-boss of the level. This mini-boss can be annoying
because of his ability to shoot you from far away and stun you. Take out the
normal soldiers first and then fight him. If you're lucky then you'll find a
pistol in one of the boxes, if you do then you'll make short work of him.
You'll likely have little health left, so be careful while fighting the
remaining soldiers. After clearing the area one of the soldiers will drop a
torch. This is the first of many times in the game that you will need to light
a torch and burn down a wall of boxes. Grab the torch and light it on fire at
the flames and burn down the boxes. If you have any left over afterwards then
use it on the two soldiers, as it makes a good weapon. Go down the ramp and
continue to the skull icon. In the next map there is another annoying
mini-boss. Use Elizabeth's signature move to take out the two soldiers that are
accompanying him and stay close to him so he can't use his pistol. After
killing him, go into the nearby door.

[Dialogue]

Elizabeth: A dead end! Will, why'd you have to go and leave that door
barricaded? If I could remember how Will used to get that fire going, I might
be able to find a way to blow the door down!

[End Dialogue]

Press down on the object and grab a torch. Light the torch on fire and bring it
over to the bomb.

[Dialogue]
Sorry about this, Will- you can use my dowry to rebuild!

[End Dialogue]

Run through the door that just exploded to finish the stage.

===================
II.Port Royal Alley(PRAL)
===================
Begin by ridding the area of the soldiers that spawn and go through the
recently opened door. You'll find a mini-boss in the next area, and once again
he is with two red soldiers. There is a lot of open room in this area and it
is hard to dodge his shots so get in close and use your signature move. The
gates will open and three red more soldiers will run in.

################################################################
Hidden Gem #2:
--------------
This is another gem that is easy to see. After going through the
gates, there will be a clearing between two buildings.The gem
will be floating in the air, jump up to retrieve it.
################################################################

Run down the path until you reach the abandoned building. There are a lot of
boxes inside, so if you need health or savvy then break them. On the far left
side of the building there will be a brick wall that you can break. Break it
and go through the skull icon. In the next map there will be a fork in the
road. Go into the skull icon on the right. Once again, there is a set of boxes
you need to burn down to continue. Fortunately, you don't need to kill anybody
this time. Grab the torch and light it on the flame. Run ahead and set the box
es on fire and continue running to meet the second type of mini-boss in the
level. He is much easier than the first, since he can only use his sword. After
defeating him, a small cutscene will reveal that you can now enter a nearby
door. Do so and you will find yourself in a small building.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #3:
--------------
It seems like all the gems in this level are in plain view. The
gem is in the bottom left corner of the building.
###############################################################

[Dialogue]
*A red soldier runs into the building*

Elizabeth: Don't come any closer! There's nothing more dangerous than a very
cross and VERY armed bride-to-be!

Soldier: I'm not here to harm you, Miss Swann. I'm a friend of your father's-
I'm here to help.

Elizabeth: Well, that's very fortunate for you, then- Thank you.

Soldier: Beckett has this place surrounded. I'm afraid your only choice is to
go back the way you came. Meet me a few hundred yards from here- I'll run
ahead and throw them off your trail.

*Soldier leaves the building*

[End Dialogue]

Ready for the first backtracking section of the game? There's not much to say
about this part except keep on going back until you reach the fork in the
road. This time walk left and you'll meet the soldier again.

[Dialogue]
Soldier: Psst! Miss Swann! The Egret squawks at moonfall!

Elizabeth: I appreciate your help, but this is no time for poetry!

Soldier: It was a secret code! No matter- just take the path behind me before
they see you. And good luck.

[End Dialogue]

You'll find the second type of mini-boss in the next area. Kill him and the
gates nearby will open. Run down the docks and the stage will finish.

====================
III.Port Royal Docks(PRDK)
====================
This is a short stage compared to some of the others in the level. Begin by
clearing the map of all enemies. Go to the top right section of the map and
you will see a switch. Pull it and a door will open. Go back to the wooden
platform and run to the left to find the open door. There will be a mini-boss
in the next map, but for some reason he doesn't have a health bar. Kill him
and go through the gates above you. Cross the bridge but be careful of the
two red soldiers. Walk off of the wooden platform using the stairs and you'll
see a switch. Pull it and go to the docks. Kill all the enemies to open the
second set of gates.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #4:
--------------
This is it, the final gem of the level. Take the second left
heading downwards. The gem is in the top left corner.
(You've unlocked Bowspirit Thrust!)
###############################################################
Go down the next part of the docks. At the end pull the switch and go back to
the beginning of the docks. A cutscene will show the gates open. Go through the
m and kill all the enemies in the area. Two red soldiers will appear, be
careful when dealing with these two as they can shoot you from far away. Go
through the open gates and you'll find yourself in another part of the docks.
Take the first left and pull the switch. Go through the gate and up the stairs.
 Kill all the enemies on top of the stairs and go into the door.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Boss Battle:Lord Beckett
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
[Dialogue]
Elizabeth: I am here to negotiate Lord Beckett.

Lord Beckett: I am listening.

Elizabeth: These letters of Marque. A full and absolute pardon for all crimes.
Signed by the king- but still blank.

Lord Beckett: And not valid until they are stamped.

Elizabeth: Or I would not still be here. I need you to sign them.

[End Dialogue]

==============
Boss Strategy:
==============
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lord Beckett blocks often but his attacks don't do much damage. Use your
signature move on him and right when he stands up attack. You should be
able to get him down to about half of his health by doing this. Break
some of the vases and chances are that you will get a pistol. Use this
to finish him off. If you can't find a pistol or it doesn't completely
kill him then block his attacks and use Bowspirit Thrust on him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Dialogue]
Lord Beckett: I daresay you intend to negotiate with Jack Sparrow yourself?

Elizabeth: These are not going to Jack.

[End Dialogue]

++++++++++++++++++++
d.Isla De Pelegostos(ILDP)
++++++++++++++++++++
(Objective: Locate Jack Sparrow and leave the Island.)
===========================
I.Isla De Pelegostos Jungle(ILJG)
===========================

[Dialogue]

Will: Something is amiss. The Pearl is here, but where is her crew? Jack! Jack
Sparrow! Marty! Cotton! Anyone...

(You've unlocked the combo Parting Blow!)

Parrot: Don't eat me!

Will: I'm not going to eat you. Can you tell me what happened here? ...No, I
suppose not.

Parrot: Don't eat me! No!

Will: If anyone should ask, tell them Will Turner, against his better
judgement, went in search of Jack Sparrow...I'm talking to a parrot.

Parrot: Aye aye, sir!

[End Dialogue]

In the next area you'll encounter the first cannibals. Some cannibals just
attack you, and some can shoot balls of fire at you, so be careful. Killing
one of the cannibals makes him drop a torch, and killing all of them starts a
fire. Use the torch to set the nearby boxes on fire. You will see a bucket of
water. Ignore this for now and continue on. Kill all of the cannibals that
come up and go back to get the water. Bring the water up the the boxes that
are on fire and press A to drop it. You'll be repeating this task a lot
throughout the rest of the game. In the next map you will once again have to
kill the cannibals until you find one that wields fire, and then kill him. Grab
 the torch, light it, and set the boxes on fire. And guess what's in the next
map? Another set of boxes that need to be destroyed. Kill the cannibal with
fire, grab torch, light it on fire, destroy boxes. Go up the first ramp but
don't go up the second yet.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #1:
--------------
Instead of going up the second ramp, go directly right instead.
You'll find the gem at the dead end.
###############################################################

Now go up the second ramp and enter the skull icon. In this area is the first
real puzzle of the game. See the bridge? You can only step on the tiles with
the icon of a foot. If you step on any other tiles then you will fall through
and have to fight a cannibal mini-boss. So just jump from foot to foot until
you reach the end of the bridge and the skull icon. This is the first time
you will be forced to face the cannibal mini-boss. Normal attacks don't do much
damage to him, so either use combos(Bowspirit Thrust works well) or use Will's
signature move. After killing the mini-boss, a cannibal with a torch will
appear. Kill him and use the torch to burn down the boxes. Follow the path to
the waterfall to the end of the stage.

============================
II.Isla De Pelegostos Grotto(IPGT)
============================
Jump off the cliff and fight the cannibals. The plants that block your way can
easily be destroyed by attacking them. Head east down the river and face off
against the mini-boss. The invisible wall will disappear, so keep on going
west. Ignore the boxes blocking your way north and follow the river. You will
see a bird on fire, kill it to start a flame at the end of the river. Light a
torch on fire and burn down the boxes. There is another mini-boss in the next
cave. Kill him and you'll see a giant skull artifact. This artifact constantly
spits out cannibals, and there's no way to stop it, so keep on fighting them
until the cannibal with fire comes out. Kill him and set the boxes nearby on
fire. Leave the cave and head west. Defeat the cannibals on the path. When you
reach the bucket of water, take it and head left across the bridge. Drop it on
the fire and continue walking west.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #2:
--------------
After crossing the bridge, you will find a small area with
another giant skull artifact. The gem is in plain view in the
middle of the area.
###############################################################

Grab the torch and ignore the cannibals that come out of the skull artifact.
Set the boxes on fire and watch them burn. Kill the bird on fire in the next
cave, grab a bucket of water, and pour it on the fire. Repeat the process, but
 this time kill all of the cannibals that come out of the skull artifact to
make it easier. Kill the mini-boss and exit the cave.

=============================
II.Isla De Pelegostos Village(IPVG)
=============================
You start off in an area near two strange wooden mouths. Like the skull
artifacts, cannibals come out of these, and you have to defeat them all to make
the invisible wall go away. Follow the path east and kill all of the cannibals,
including one mini-boss. The last cannibal will drop a torch, so pick it up and
light the boxes that are close to you on fire and cross the bridge. Next you'll
find an area that looks just like the first part of the stage. Kill all of the
cannibals and go east. Grab the bucket of water and drop it on the fire. Cross
the bridge, kill the cannibals, grab the torch, cross the bridge again, light
the torch on fire, cross the bridge another time, and set the boxes on fire.
This is getting repetitive, isn't it? Cross the south bridges and kill the
three cannibals. Now cross the east bridge and kill the other two cannibals.
At the end of the bridge you'll find the first Health Increase of the game.
It is inside of a large chest. Head west and into the skull icon. Kill the
mini-boss and take the torch.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #3:
--------------
Run east and you'll find it in the middle of the area. It seems
like these gems aren't very well hidden, doesn't it?
###############################################################

Light the torch and quickly leave the area. Run south and then east to find
the wall of boxes. Burn it and cross the bridge.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Boss Battle:Cannibal Chief
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

[Dialogue]
Will: Jack Sparrow! What on earth are you doing like that?

Jack: Certainly not escaping, that's what. They think I'm their chief.

Will: Looks like politics isn't your calling.

Jack: A minor setback, that's all. Now, will you help me out of this mess or
shall I just continue to glare at you menacingly?

[End Dialogue]

==============
Boss Strategy:
==============
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Cannibal Chief is arguably the hardest and most annoying boss in the game.
This is because whenever he has anywhere below 1/8th of his health down, he
jumps out of range and heals completely. He also summons three cannibals each
time this happens, so you'll want to kill him as quickly as possible. Because
of this, I'm going to provide two ways of beating him.

Strategy #1: Throw boxes at him while dodging his attacks. When he has about
1/6th of his health left, stun him with the combo Deadlights and throw a box
at him. Make sure he is close to a box when you stun him, or else you won't
have time to throw it at him.

Strategy #2: Using the weapons from the boxes, get him down to about 1/6th of
his health. Use the combo Bowspirit Thrust to finish him off. This may take a
few tries.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

+++++++++++++++++++
e.Tia Dalma's Swamp(TDSP)
+++++++++++++++++++
(Objective: Find Tia Dalma's shack in the heart of the swamp.)

[Dialogue]

Will: What is it that has Jack spooked? Nothing can keep Jack Sparrow from the
sea.

Mr. Gibbs: An evil beast from the depths...the Kraken. Does the bidding of Davy
Jones. A giant squid, with tentacles that'll suction your face clean off.

Will: I thought the Kraken was a legend..what about the key?

Mr. Gibbs: That's what SHE is going to tell us.

Will: There's something moving in the water!

Jack: The swamp doesn't seem very happy to see us, mates!

[End Dialogue]

=============
I.Swamp River(SWRV)
=============
This is probably the shortest level in the game, and because of that, there
isn't much to say about it. Basically, you stay on the ship and fight wave
after wave of enemies. There are only two kinds of enemies, strange creatures
the throw knives at you, and short people that look like goblins. The best
thing to do is wait until the ship is crowded, then use Jack's signature move
a few times.

=============
II.Swamp Town(SWTN)
=============
Begin by killing all of the knive-throwers. Stay close to them so they won't
be able to hurt you. Cross the small bridge and find the second treasure chest
in the game. Next you'll meet a very annoying mini-boss, the alligator.
Everytime you hit it, which you can only do by kicking him, using a combo, or
using Jack's signature move, it will knock you down. Luckily, the first time
you fight one there is a water bucket. Jump over him and grab it. Throw it on
him to deal plenty of damage and repeat this tactic to kill it. Pull the switch
to lower the bridge but watch out for the bats, they will attack you. Pour the
bucket of water onto the flames. Now for the only hard puzzle in the game.
There are three statues that you need to position correctly in order to lower
the bridge. Touch the first one once, the second one two times, and the third
one once. Kill the goblins and run across the bridge. Be careful along the way,
you don't want to die and have to do the puzzle all over again. Run up the
stairs and into the house. Jump down through the hole in the floor.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #1:
--------------
The gem will be right in front of you when you drop down.
###############################################################

Time for another alligator mini-boss fight. There isn't a water bucket in this
area, so you'll have to make do with the two boxes and Jack's signature move.
Go back into the door that you came through and you'll see an invisible wall
disappear. Take a right from the bottom of the stairs.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #2:
--------------
Run up the northern set of stairs and you'll see a box. Jump on
it and jump again to reach the gem.
###############################################################

Go up the eastern stairs and grab the bucket of water. Drop it on the fire and
run north towards the skull icon.

===============
III.Swamp Marsh(SWMR)
===============
Kill the knive-throwers and you'll meet another alligator. There isn't much you
can do here but kick it and use your signature move, so finish it off and go
through the recently opened invisible wall.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #3:
--------------
Walk northeast and you'll find the third hidden gem next to a
broken box.
###############################################################

Run east and exit the area. A cutscene will show two goblins jumping down to
fight you. More will jump down as you kill them, as you continue to walk down
the river, you'll run into an alligator. Enemies will spawn as you fight it,
so try to kill it as quickly as possible and finish off the others to go to
the next area.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #4:
--------------
The fourth and final gem of the level is easy to see at the top
of the area.
(You've unlocked the combo Cannonball Kick!)
###############################################################

After clearing the area of goblins, run up the stairs and into the next section
of the river. Kill the alligator and run north into the skull icon. Before you
go anywhere in the next area, destroy the three boxes on the right. Chances are
that you don't have much health right now, so if any grog appears then grab it.
Running up the river will make goblins appear. Kill them and keep on running
down the river. Use Jack's signature move to kill the alligator and goblins to
finish the level.

Boss Battle:Swamp Monster
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
[Dialogue]

Jack: YOU certainly don't look like a voodoo priestess. If you are, I'd like
to have a talk with your hairdresser.

*Swamp Monster roars*

Jack: I suppose you won't just be letting me through, then? Of course not.

[End Dialogue]

==============
Boss Strategy:
==============
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This may seem like a complicated boss battle, but it really isn't. The Swamp
Monster only has three attacks. His first attack is that he'll jump in the air
and smash his legs on the ground. When he does this, jump right before he hits
the ground. His second attack is a simple swing of his arm that you can dodge
by jumping or running out of range. His final attack is that he'll stick his
arm in the ground and will try to grab you. In order to hurt the Swamp Monster,
the first thing you have to do is grab a bomb and wait until he tries to grab
you. Throw a bomb at his hand and he'll split into two(there are unlimited
bombs on the area, so don't worry if you miss.) Attack the two smaller Swamp
Monsters and bring their health down to nothing to beat him. Don't worry if he
goes back to being one big Swamp Monster, just hit his hand with a bomb again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Dialogue]

Tia Dalma: Jack Sparrow. I always knew the wind was going to blow you back to
me one day.

Will: We're looking for this- and what it goes to.

Tia Dalma: That compass you bartered from me can't lead you to this? Jack
Sparrow does not know what he wants?

Jack:...No.

Tia Dalma: Your key goes to a chest... and it is what lays inside the chest you
seek, isn't it?

Will: And what does this chest contain?

Tia Dalma: You know of Davy Jones, yes? A man of the sea, a great sailor...
until he ran afoul of that which vexes all men.

Jack: A woman.

Tia Dalma: He fell in love. He never stopped loving her, but the pain it caused
him was too much to live with- yet not enough to cause him to die.

Will: Exactly what did he put into the chest?

Tia Dalma: His heart. It was not worth feeling what small, fleeting joy life
brings...and so he carved out his heart, locked it in a chest, and hid it from
the world. The key he keeps with him at all times.

Jack: That was a roundabout way to get the answer.

Will: You knew this already?

Jack: No I didn't- but now we do, so all that is left is to slip aboard the
Flying Dutchman, take the key, and then you can go to Port Royal and save your
bonnie lass.

[End Dialogue]

+++++++++
f.Tortuga(TRTG)
+++++++++
(Objective: Keep a low profile while looking for Will.)

[Dialogue]

Will: That's the Dutchman? She doesn't look like much.

Jack: Neither do you. Don't underestimate her. What's your plan?

Will: I row over, and search the ship 'till I find your bloody key.

Jack: I like it. Simple and easy to remember. If you get captured, say "Jack
Sparrow sent me to settle his debt." It might save your life.

*Will runs away*

Davy Jones: You are neither dead, nor dying. What is your purpose here.

Will: Jack Sparrow sent me to settle his debt.

Davy Jones: Did he now? I am sorely tempted to accept that offer.

*On The Black Pearl*

Davy Jones: You have a debt to pay. You've been captain of the Pearl for 13
years-that was our agreement.

Jack: You have my payment. One soul, to serve on your ship. He's already there.

Davy Jones: You can't trade. You can't substitute.

Jack: Just how many souls do you think my soul is worth?

Davy Jones: One hundred souls. Three days. I keep the boy- a good faith payment.
But I wonder, Sparrow- can you live with this?

Jack: Yep.

Davy Jones: You can condemn an innocent man- a friend- to a lifetime of
servitude, in your name, while you roam free.

Jack: I'm good with it. Shall we seal it in blood? I mean, ink?

Davy Jones: Let's not and say we did. Agreed?

Jack: Agreed. I'd embrace you, but I fear it might stick.

*In Tortuga*

Elizabeth: If anyone knows where Will is, they're likely here in Tortuga.
You there!

Pirate: Ungh. Whaddyouwant, boy?

Elizabeth: I'm looking for a William Turner- have you seen him?

Pirate: Whazzat? I'm a bloody churner? Right, you'll pay for that, you barnacle.

Other Pirate: My fist's been itchin' for a fight! Lemme have at 'im!

[End Dialogue]

===============
I.Tortuga Docks(TRDK)
===============
Kill the pirates and wait for the invisible wall to disappear. Head up the
stairs.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #1:
--------------
There is a good chance that you'll see this gem from the top of
the stairs. Run north and grab it.
###############################################################

After killing all of the pirates in the area, the last one will drop a torch.
Burn down the boxes and go down the ramp, but be careful because there is a
pirate with a pistol at the bottom. Two pirates will jump off of the roof and
attack you. One of them has a glass bottle that can stun you, so be sure to
block when he throws it. Run down the stairs in the next area and fight your way
east, ignore the flame for now, as you don't need it. Walk up the giant set of
stairs and you'll find the next health increase chest directly in front of you.
Open it to raise your health even higher. Kill all of the enemies in the area
and go into the skull transporter. Run through the open gates and light the
torch on fire. Burn the boxes and clear the area. Head down the stairs but stop
at the bottom.
###############################################################
Hidden Gem #2:
--------------
Run northwest from the bottom of the stairs and you'll find
the next hidden gem.
###############################################################
Run down the ramp and kill all of the enemies to get a torch. Burn the boxes
that are blocking your way at the top of the stairs and continue down the
beach.

==================
II.Tortuga Streets(TRST)
==================
There is a lot of backtracking in this level. There are a lot of enemies in the
first area, so kill them all and run east into the skull icon.
###############################################################
Hidden Gem #3:
--------------
You need to run north from the beginning of the second area.
Like most of the other "hidden" gems, it'll be easy to see.
###############################################################
After disposing of al the enemies in the second map, the invisible wall will
disappear. Grab a torch from a recently-killed enemy, and light it. Destroy the
wall of boxes. A short cutscene will play, showing you two pirates behind a
gate. This is a circular map that you'll be doing some backtracking through,
but for now head west and walk up to the gate.

[Dialogue]

Pirate: Stop right there, ye little scrawny deckswabber! I'll 'ave ye screamin
fer Davy Jones before I'm through-

Pirate Captain: Now, now, where are ye manners? Pardon my associate 'ere. He's
a few sails short of a ship, if ye catch me drift.

Elizabeth: Just weaving my way through town- I won't be any trouble if you just
let me through.

Pirate Captain: From what I hear tell, ye're nothing but trouble. This here be
MY home. If ye want through, you'll have to pay tribue.

Elizabeth: I don't have any gold, if that's what you mean.

Pirate Captain: I got plenty of gold. What I'm lookin' for is a new hat. Find
me a new hat, and you can pass. A hat with a feather in.

[End Dialogue]

A skull icon will appear. Run over to it and enter it. Grab the bucket of water
and pour it on the fire, but kill the pirates first so you wont drop it. Run
into the house at the end of the map. When you clear the house of pirates, a
cutscene will show Elizabeth killing a pirate.

[Dialogue]

Elizabeth: I think somebody died in this hat! Maybe that's good luck.

[End Dialogue]

Fight your way all the way back to the gate. It won't be very easy, since there
are lots of pirates.

[Dialogue]

Pirate: Didn't we tell ye to walk the plank?

Elizabeth: I see. No interest in this bit of haberdashery, then?

Pirate: That hat smells rotten. A bit like me, actually.

Pirate Captain: Now that...is a fine hat! A hat fittin' a first-class scoundrel
of a captain. A deal's a deal- go on through before ol' Blinky here gets to ye.

[End Dialogue]

Run into the skull icon. Use the water bucket to stop the fire and run near the
horse.

[Dialogue]

Elizabeth: This poor beast is straining under the weight of the cart! How could
they abandon him like this?

[End Dialogue]

Throw all of the barrels on the cart and the horse will run away. Go into the
skull icon and you'll find yourself inside of a house.
###############################################################
Hidden Gem #4:
--------------
The only real "hidden" gem of the level, you'll find it on the
second floor of the house. Climb up the stairs and follow the
path to the far right side of the house.
(You've unlocked the combo Flying Blade!)
###############################################################
Go back to the first floor and kill all of the pirates. Run into the skull icon
to finish the stage.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Boss Battle:Pirate Captain
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

[Dialogue]

Pirate: An then I says to 'im, "I've seen better teeth on a barnacles bot-"

*Elizabeth runs over*

Elizabeth: Has anyone here seen a mister William Turner?

Pirate: 'Ey! I was tellin' a story 'ere!

Other Pirate: You're lookin a bit too shiny for these parts, "Young master."

Pirate: 'E's a spy! A spy for that cursed East India Company! Third one
this week!

Elizabeth: Look, I'm no spy, you fools! Just passing through, and I-

Other Pirate: Mates, whaddyasay we teach the young spy a lesson about
trespassin'?

[End Dialogue]

At first it doesn't seem like a boss battle. For the first half you'll fight
normal pirates, but when you've killed them all the real boss will appear.

[Dialogue]

Pirate Captain: The young man's still standing? A disgrace to our reputation,
the lot of you! I'll show ye how to dispatch unwanted visitors!

[End Dialogue]

==============
Boss Strategy:
==============
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Pirate Captain may seem easy at first, since he runs slow and doesn't block
too often, but he can actually be quite hard. Not only can he throw glass
bottles at you which will stun you, he can also regain some of his health by
drinking some grog. The easiest way to kill him is to grab a glass bottle from
a pile, throw it at him, and use the Deadlights combo.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Dialogue]

Elizabeth: James Norrington. What has the world done to you?

Norrington: Nothing I didn't deserve.

*Jack walks up*

Jack: Come to join my crew, lad? Well enough, welcome aboard.

Elizabeth: I've come to find the man I love.

Jack: I'm flattered, yes, but my first and only love is the sea.

Elizabeth: Meaning William Turner, Captain Sparrow.

Jack: Elizabeth? Someone better hide the rum.

*In the captain's quarters*

Elizabeth: I want to find Will.

Jack: I'd think you'd want a way to save Will, which would seem marginally
higher priority than finding him. Unless you're unconcerned about the state you
find him in.

Elizabeth: Is there something that can save him?

Jack: Yes, there is a chest, of unknown size and origin, that contains the
heart of Davy Jones- the source of his immortality.

Elizabeth: I believe you. How can we find it.

Jack: With this. This compass is unique. It doesn't point North, and it doesn't
point to Isla De Muerta. What this compass points to is what you want most in
the world.

Elizabeth: And what I want most in the world is to find the chest of Davy
Jones... to save Will.

Jack: Mr. Gibbs! We have our heading!

[End Dialogue]

+++++++++++++
g.Isla Cruces(ILCS)
+++++++++++++
(Objective: Get to the Dead Man's Chest before anyone else can.)

[Dialogue]

Davy Jones: Where is William Turner? Where is the key??

Undead Pirate: No sign. He must have been claimed by the sea.

Davy Jones: I AM the sea. The chest is no longer safe. Chart a course to Isla
Cruces.

Undead Pirate: He won't find the chest.

Davy Jones: He knew about the key, didn't he? Now get me there first, or there
be the devil to pay!

*On Isla Cruces*

Will: Davy Jones' chest is somewhere on this island...I don't have much time!

====================
I.Isla Cruces Jungle(ICJG)
====================

You'll be greeted by a few undead pirates as the stage starts. Be careful of
the hammerhead one, he'll charge at you and knock you over. This makes fighting
them really annoying, so you might want to take him out first. Exit the area
and run to the main part of the island. About halfway down the path, head north
and grab the torch. Light it and go back to where you got the torch.
###############################################################
Hidden Gem #1:
--------------
Burn the boxes and run down the ramp. You'll find the gem
in the middle of the pathway right before the ramp.
###############################################################
Walk onto the logs and into the skull icon. Grab the torch and burn down the
boxes. Walk across the log bridge and you'll find yourself facing a bunch of
undead pirates.

[Dialogue]

Will: Something's wrong with the beach here. I can see something glinting
underneath the sand. If only I had a bit more light.

[End Dialogue]

In the next area there are a bunch of bombs underneath the sand.
The only way to know where these bombs are is to hold a lit torch. Fourtanately,
there is a torch and a fire in the beggining of the map. Make your way to the
end of the beach, being careful to avoid the bombs.

====================
II.Isla Cruces Beach(ICBC)
====================
[Dialogue]

Elizabeth: It's real. You were telling the truth.

Jack: I do that a lot, and yet people are still surprised.

Elizabeth: Do we open it?

Jack: Can't open it without the key.

*Will walks towards them*

Will: You'll be wanting to put that down, Jack.

Elizabeth: Will, you're alive!

Jack: How did you get here?

Will: Sea turtles. A pair of them, strapped to my feet.

Jack: It's not so easy, is it?

Will: Commodore! Have you all fallen in league with this scoundrel? Odd that we
would all end up enemies of Davy Jones. Let's open the chest and be done with
him.

Jack: Here's the odd thing. Perhaps it's best not to open the chest, right here
and this very instant.

Elizabeth: You said you wanted Davy Jones dead.

Jack: Times change. Sometimes, rather quickly. Now, the key, if you please.

Will: I made a promise to my father. We open the chest now, and stab the heart.

Jack: I'm not going to let that happen.

Commodore Norrington: I'm not going to let that happen either. I understand Sir
Beckett greatly desires that chest. This is a chance to get my life back and-
I'm going to take it.

[End Dialogue]

This fight may seem hard since it's two against one, but all you need to do is
get either of their health bars down to nothing and they'll run away.

[Dialogue]

Pirate: Now how'd this a-go all screwy?

Other Pirate: Each wants the chest for himself. Will on account of his father
and feeling guilty. Norrington hopes to regain a bit of honor. Jack's harder to
figure, but I think he plans on tradin' the chest to Jones to call off the
Kraken.

Pirate: That chest must be worth more'n a shiny penny...

*The two pirates grab the chest and run off*

Jack: Hah-hah! The key!

*Jack lowers a bridge and Commodore Norrington chases after him.*

[End Dialogue]

Run across the bridge that Jack just lowered. Make the area clean of all undead
pirates and the invisible wall will be gone. In the next map, you'll find a
canon. Fire it to lower a bridge and cross it to the next area.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #2:
--------------
Run directly south to find the second hidden gem.
###############################################################
Kill all of the undead pirates and climb up the stairs.

====================
III.Isla Cruces Town(ICTN)
====================
Kill the undead pirates and run east through the recently disappeared barrier.

###############################################################
Hidden Gem #3:
--------------
Before crossing one of the bridges, knock down the northern
columns and you'll find the third hidden gem.
###############################################################
Either jump off one of the bridges and walk down the stairs. Run up the next set
of stairs into the next area. Run to the northern corner of the room and you'll
find the final health increase. Kill the many undead pirates in the room and
run through the now-open gate. Follow the path east, grab a torch, burn down
the boxes, and run down the stairs. Kill the remaining undead pirates. In the
next area you'll see Norrington running. Follow where he went, killing all the
enemies along the way. Run up to the building and you'll finish the final
stage.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Boss Battle:Norrington
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
[Dialogue]

Will: Commodore Norrington. Fancy meeting you here.

Norrington: Master Will Turner. I trust you intend to do something rash?

Will: I need that key, Commodore. Drop this charade and help me track down Jack.
You were a good man once, were you not?

Norrington: I don't think you're quite in a position to throw such stones,
Master Turner. I work alone now. By your leave.

Will: If you're not with me, you're against me. Step aside.

[End Dialogue]

==============
Boss Strategy:
==============
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Norrington isn't really a hard boss. You'll first meet him on the first floor
of the building. Block his attacks and when he is open, use Deadlights on him.
After you defeat him for the first time, he will run up the stairs onto the
roof.

[Dialogue]

Norrington: Just the man I was looking for. Hand over the key, Jack Sparrow.

Jack: Easy Commodore. You and I are on the same side, you know. We both want
to keep the chest safe.

Norrington: I would never join blades with a pirate... and the man that ruined
my life.

Jack: Wait! Let's examine that claim. Think back to where this all began. Who
was it that stole your dolly belle? Who made you look like a fool? Who broke me
out of jail? I was nothing more than an almost innocent witness to the above.
Savvy?

*Jack runs away*

Will: He's getting away...Wait! You don't buy all that, do you?

Norrington: Can you deny it? You chose to break Jack Sparrow out of jail
against my direct command. It's as good a spot as any to place blame.

[End Dialogue]

You will now fight Norrington on the roof of the building. There is less room
here to dodge his attacks, so once again block and when an opening occurs, use
Deadlights.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Dialogue]

Will: Finally I can put an end to this-

*Jack knocks Will out*

Jack: A little help here, I can't keep them away forever!

*Elizabeth and Jack fight the undead pirates and Norrington runs over.*

Norrington: Get into the boat.

Elizabeth: There are too many! We can't fight them-

Norrington: Go!!!

*Norrington grabs the chest and runs away, drawing the undead pirates off*

Norrington: Take it. I just want to live.

h.Kraken(KRKN)

(Objective: Beat back the Kraken's tentacles while trying to escape.)

[Dialogue]

Will: What happened to the chest?

Elizabeth: Norrington took it- to draw them off.

Mr. Gibbs: Will Turner- bless me, you're safe. Jack! We a-spied the Dutchman
an hourpast, rounding the point! Where's the Commodore?

Jack: Fell behind.

Mr. Gibbs: And my prayers to him. All hands! Set sail! Run her full!

Elizabeth: We are in no danger. I see empty horizon in all directions-

Will: HANG ON!!!

*The Flying Dutchman comes into view*

Jack: Over here! Yoo-hoo! Parlay!

Mr. Gibbs: What's your play, Jack?

Jack: Shhhh. I have the heart. In here.

Mr. Gibbs: Bless me! How??

Jack: I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, remember?

Mr. Gibbs: Hard a port! Hurry, men!

Elizabeth: The Dutchman! She's falling behind!

Will: The Black Pearl can outrun the Dutchman?

Mr. Gibbs: That ain't a natural ship. She can sail direct against the wind and
not lose speed- that's how she takes her prey.

Will: But with the wind, we rob her advantage.

Mr. Gibbs: Aye. The Black Pearl is the only ship Davy Jones fears. With reason.

*The boat shakes*

Elizabeth: What was that?

Jack: Um. I...don't have the heart.

Mr. Gibbs: Then who does?

Elizabeth: We must have hit a reef.

Will: No. It's not a reef. Get away from the rail.

Elizabeth: What is it?

Mr. Gibbs: The Kraken-Lord on high...deliver us.

Will: To arms! I've seen it before- we must take out the tentacles! Set cannons
and hold for my signal!

*Two pirates fire cannons at the Kraken's mouth and it breathes out and kills
them.*

Jack: It's breath is worse than mine! That's not right!

[End Dialogue]

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Boss Battle:Kraken
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Get ready for the final boss of the game. The only way you can hurt the Kraken
is if you fire a cannonball at it. However, you can only fire one at it when
its no longer breathing out poison. You can get it to stop breathing poison if
you attack its tentacle. When you've dealt enough damage to the tentacle, it
will retreat under the ship and you will be able to fire one shot at the
Kraken. After hitting it, it will send you flying backwards and it will start
breathing poison again. Repeat this process until it only has about two thirds
of its health left. A cutscene will show the Kraken roaring and more tentacles
will come onto the ship, though these ones are much smaller. Ignore the small
tentacles and once again focus on the big one. Get the Kraken down to one third
of its health and it will once again roar. This time, it will destroy two of
the cannons, leaving only the middle one. Also, two undead pirates will board
the ship, thought you will still only need to kill the tentacle. Continue to
fire cannonballs at it until it has barely any health left. It will roar and
regain all of its health.

[Dialogue]

Jack: Every man for himself! I'm getting off this blasted ship. Keep to the
code, as they say. That longboat looks even better than a pair of sea turtles.
Time to clear this beastie off once and for all.

[End Dialogue]

Run to the switch in the back of the boat. Pull it and you'll complete the game.

[Dialogue]

Jack: We've got some time. Abandon ship! Into the longboat! Abandon ship!

Will: What chance do we have in a boat?

Jack: Very little. But we can make for the island. Abandon ship or abandon
hope.

Elizabeth: He's right. All we need is a few minutes.

Jack: We can get away as it takes down the Pearl!

*Everybody leaves the boat but Jack and Elizabeth.*

Elizabeth: Thank you, Jack. I always knew you were a good man.

*Elizabeth kisses Jack and the screen goes black. When it comes back on Jack's
hand is tied to the mast.*

Elizabeth: It's after you, not the ship... not us. It's the only way. I'm not
sorry.

Jack:...Pirate.

*On the Flying Dutchman*

Davy Jones: Open the chest. I need to see it.

*The chest opens*

Davy Jones: SPARROW!!!
