Developeri iz Namco Bandai-a su objavili koliko snažan komp će biti potreban da bi ste bez problema igrali ovu inovativnu igru koja od igrača zahteva apsolutno dobru kontrolu nad svim gameplay sistemima. Naime, Dark Souls je veoma teška igra ako ne koristite sve što vam igra daje na raspolaganje. U njoj se kažnjava brzopleto igranje, i nagrađuje strpljenje i dobro procenjivanje situacije (ako naiđete na zonu u kojoj su neprijatelji preteški, vratite se nazad i nađite lakše lokacije).
Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition će se pojaviti u prodaji 24. avgusta i u sebi će imati orginalnu igru sa konzola, kao i nove boss-ove, online coop matchmaking, nove lokacije, neprijatelje, NPC-e, oružja i opremu.
