Microsoft je odlučio da potvrdi neke od informacija koje već neko vreme kruže Internetom, a vezane su za novu verziju operativnog sistema Windows, koji se (za sada) zove Windows 7. Po njihovim rečima, "sedmica" je predviđena da radi na otprilike istom hardveru kao i trenutno aktuelna Vista. Suprotno onome što ste možda pročitali, novi Windows neće biti pravljen ispočetka, nego će iskoristiti Vista-in kernel kao osnovu. Što se tiče datuma izlaska, očekuje se da između izlaska Viste i ove nove verzije prođe otprilike tri godine, što znači da Windows 7 možemo očekivati tokom 2010. godine ili eventualno krajem 2009.
