Prijavljivanje za domen .asia
Sredinom ove nedelje počelo prijavljivanje za domen najvišeg nivoa .asia. Formiranje azijskog domena omogućeno je nakon što je sredinom ove godine Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers odobrila da se domen .asia uvrstila u spisak domena najvišeg nivoa. Zainteresovane kompanije i javne ustanove iz pacifičkog regiona Azije mogu se prijaviti za dobijanje domena do 15. januara 2008. godine, a od februara 2008. za domen .asia moći će da se prijave svi državljani zemalja iz tog regiona. Kompanija i javne ustanove plaćaju nadoknadu za otvaranje domena u iznosu od oko 90 dolara.
Prema neproverenim podacima do sada se prijavilo preko 2.500.000 zainteresovanih za domen .asia.
