Electronic Arts je objavio da je postigao dogovor sa Elevation Partners o kupovini Pandemic Studios i BioWare Corp. Vrednost transakcije je $860 milliona USD. ova dogovor bi trebalo da utiče na kvalitet deset novih igara Electronic Artsa koje će biti dostupne za tri platforme (PC, XBox i PS3).
EA CEO John Riccitiello je rekao prilikom objavljeivanje ovog dogovora: "This deal brings incredible talent to EA." Analitičari očekuju da će dogovor biti realizovan od kraja januara meseca naredne godine. BioWare i Pandemic Studios započljavaju preko 800 radnika u USA, Australiji i Kanadi. BioWare je svetsku slavu postigao serijalom Neverwinter Nights dok je Pandemic radio na Destroy All Human i trenuto se bavi igrom Mercenaries 2.
