Supreme Commander opis
Chris Taylor je pre deset godina napravio jednu malu revoluciju u žanru RTS-a. On je još davne 1997. godine izdao Total Annihilation, koja je pomerala granice u tadašnje vreme. Trodimenzionalne jedinice i trodimenzionalan teren su bili velika novost, a teren je imao još većeg uticaja na samu igru. Artiljerija je tada postala veoma bitan faktor u igri, zato što je trodimenzionalan teren omogućavao da se ona postavi na neko brdo i da sa velike udaljenosti bombarduje protivničke jedinice. Deset godina kasnije, Chris Taylor nam donosi svojevrsnog duhovnog naslednik Total Annihilationa. Dame i gospodo, predstavljam vam Supreme Commander.
Radnju igre smo vam opisali u najavi za ovu igru, ali ne bi bilo loše prisetiti se. Tvorci su se svojski potrudili da naprave što zanimljiviju priču a da ona bude detaljna. Priča počinje 2014. godine kada ljudi uspešno sleću na Mars i samim tim počinju da osvajaju svemir. Već 2108. godine ljudi formiraju prvu koloniju van našeg Sunčevog sistema, na planeti u Alfa Kentauri sistemu. Ubrzo nakon ovog, Zemlja se ujedinjuje pod jedinstvenom vladom. Zemlja je uspešno formirala 16 kolonija, koje dobijaju ime Primarni Svetovi, i koje u 24. veku počinju sopstvenu kolonizaciju. U toku kolonizacije ljudi dolaze u kontakt sa inteligentnim vanzemaljskim životom,na planeti Serafim II. Naravno, ljudi ne bi bili takvi kakvi jesu da odmah nisu zaratili sa novom vrstom. Oni zagađuju atmosferu planete Serafim II virusom i stavljaju planetu na listu nenastanjivih. Nešto kasnije naučnik Gustaf Brekman je po prvi put uspeo da napravi simbiozu čoveka i AI – Simbione. Brekman nastanjuje novu planetu i formira novu vrstu – Sibrane. Oni su zatražili nezavisnost od Zemaljske Imperije, međutim nisu je dobili, a Zemaljska Imeprije je ovaj zahtev shvatila kao izazov na rat. Imperija šalje invazione snage, koje vrše masakr. 2679. godine je Zemaljsku Imperiju kontaktirala vrsta sa Serafima II, govoreći da su oni potomci naučne ekspedicije. Nova rasa sebe naziva Aeonima. Imeprija stavlja sektor pod karantin. 2819. godine počinje sveopšti rat u svemiru, koji se vodio između tri zaraćene snage – Aeonima, Sibranima i Zemaljske Imeperrije. Impeija gubi rat i povlači se na teritoriju nekadašnjih primarnih svetova, a i sama Imperija se ruši i nastaje novo društvo – Ujedinjena Zemaljska Federacija. Čitav milenijum su ove 3 vrste vodile rat za teritorije ostale od ruševina Imperije, sve do 3844. godine. Tada igrač stupa na bojno polje.
Kao što možete zaključiti priča je veoma detaljno ispričana, i svaka vrsta ima svoju istoriju i svoje ciljeve. Na početku igre dočekaće vas mogućnost igranja kampanje sa sve 3 vrste, a možete odmah uskočiti i u multiplayer vode. Krenimo prvo od single-player misija.
Na izboru vam je bilo koja od 3 zaraćene strane. Svaka ima svoj cilj i svoju ideologiju zašto baš ona treba da pobedi. Posle odabira strane kreće igra. Igra će vam od samog početka biti prilično komplikovana, i nekako se čini da su tvorci ciljali na iskusne stratege. Igrivost je na visokom nivou od samog početka, a kako napredujete, i kada ovladate naprednijim mogućnostima igrivost sve više i više raste. Na početku svake misije dobićete samo komandanta na bojnom polju. On je osnovna jedinica, koja ima mogućnost i da gradi strukture, ali i odlične ofanzivne i defanzivne mogućnosti. Prvo morate izgraditi dobru ekonomiju, kako bi mogli da podržite veliku vojsku. Dva osnovna resursa su električna energija i Mass. Za početnike biće veoma teško da usklade prihode ova dva resursa, ali vremenom će stvari doći na mesto. Kada izgradite prve strukture možete početi da stvarate vojsku. Da odmah napomene da se igra odvija na velikim bojnim poljima i da je broj jedinica koje učestvuju u borbi često preko dve stotine. Borbe se vode na vodi, tlu i u vazduhu. Tehnološko drvo (tech three) je podeljeno u tri stepena, i kada dođete do najjačih jedinica pretežno ćete njih koristiti, mada to ne smanjuje vrednost slabijih jedinica, koje se brže regrutuju i dosta su jeftinije. Postoje i eksperimentalne jedinice, po jedna za svaku zaraćenu snagu, koje imaju zaista puno energije i veoma ih je teško uništiti, ali za njihovu izgradnju treba više vremena. Razlike u jedinicama sve tri strane su najviše u imenu. Sve strane imaju tenkove prvog, drugog i trećeg stepena, kao i artiljeriju, lovce, bombardere i slično. Nekih velikih razlika na tom polju nema.
Kampanju čini po šest misija za svaku stranu. Može se činiti malo, ali neke od misija su izuzetno dugačke i komplikovane, pa će vam trebati poprilično vremena da ih završite. Treba istaći i AI računarskog protivnika koji je već na normalnom podešavanju težine izuzetno napredan. Koristiće razne taktike opkoljavanja, simultanog napada po tlu, iz vazduha i slično. Jedina zamerka na programiranje AI-a ide na pathfinding, koji nije loš, ali jedinice imaju tendenciju da idu u kolonama, pa se često dešava da vam jedna po jedna jedinica dolazi do poprišta borbe i pošto je bez podrške ona vrlo brzo bude poražena.
Tehnička izvedba je zadovoljavajuća. Muzika i zvučni efekti su na visokom nivou i pridodaju atmosferi u velikoj meri. Grafički igra ne može da se pohvali detaljnošću, kao na primer Company of Heroes, ali ako se uzme u obzir veličina bojišta i broj jedinica koje učestvuju to i nije velika mana. Mora se istaći da eksplozije deluju prelepo, ali i prezahtevno. Često će se dešavati da u toku velike eksplozije igra zakoči na par sekundi. Možda je za to kriv i moj računar, tj. nedostatak još jednog jezgra. Programeri su izjavili da za komotno igranje igra zahteva dvojezgrane procesore.
Atmosfera igre zavisi od vaših afiniteta. Ukoliko volite strategije onda je vrlo verovatno da će vam ova biti jedna od omiljenih. Igra će vas prosto uvući u svoj svet i biće vam zanimljivo istraživati nove mogućnosti za napad ili odbranu. Ako pak igrate strategije, ali ne preterano ozbiljno, igra će vas često dovoditi do frustracije zbog svoje težine i kompleksnosti. Ova igra je prevashodno namenjena igranju protiv živih protivnika. Iako je i sam AI dobar, užitak je mnogo veći ako igrate protiv nekoga preko interneta ili u LAN-u. Treba istaći i veliku hardversku zahtevnost, koja raste što je više igrača u partiji.
Supreme Commander nije za svakoga. Za ljubitelje strategija on je otkrovenje koje su dugo čekali. Za one koji igraju strategije, ali nisu fanatici, igra će se od samog početka činiti previše teškom i komplikovanom. Sami prosudite kojem taboru pripadate.
